It’s
Mayday, and I can’t help but think about all the revolutions lost and won, the
victories and defeats. The battle goes on forever against the forces of greed,
repression, and cruelty. From Spartacus to Watt Tyler, from the Levellers to
the Black Panthers, Danton to Angela Davis, Che to Rosa Luxembourg – the
struggle is never over. But we cannot and must not lose loose heart. We cannot give it up to
corporate totalitarianism, that may starve us all and render our planet
uninhabitable. I know I’m nearing the end of my span, but I swear I will not
(as BM exhorted) give up the fight.
I gotta confess,
Doc40 has been a little neglected of late. The Deviants played a live show last and
I also wrote retrospective on poor dear Viv Stanshall. Most of the action has
been on the instant gratification of Facebook, but here, to make amends…

There is something fucked up about 'never giving up the fight' yet fessing up to being facebook bitch - consistency still the 'hobgoblin of small minds' then.
Re: Facebook, '..look out honey, 'cause I'm using technology - ain't got time to make no apology..'
Mayday used to be such a big deal in Australia when I was growing up, massive marches , solidarity, now it seems all forgotten, perception of eternal servitude to the troika the new reality.
Thanks Mickey. Keep yer eyes on the prize.
Mick, it troubles me when you talk about nearing the end of your span.
Hey, Im not planning on leaving but my three score and ten is up in September and I have to be a little realistic
I do not embrace mysticism, nor collectivism, and I reject faith in all forms. The paradigm of infinite truth and life as existence suggests that ever-lasting life (existence) is unavoidable. The end of a "span" suggests one finds comfort behind fences. Freedom remains the enemy of civilization. Reason suggests nobody regrets the leaving. Nobody's special.
Have a very nice day Mick.
