I am still
numb from the news about my old friend Wilko Johnson. What is there to say
except…except…keep driving that plane.

all things must pass..let the dead bury the dead..chin up DoC _
He was interviewed in Guitarist magazine a few months back, came over as funny, informative and a really decent man.
I was very saddened to hear this news today. I love Wilko's contributions to music. I'm glad that he appears to have taken charge of his own health and I sincerely wish that the last few months are comfortable and productive.
One of the best guitarists this country has ever produced. Met him on Oxford Street last year,
lovely man. Rock 'till you drop Wilko!
He seems to be doing exactly what he should do - keep playing. There ain't no cure... so bop til you drop Wilko, there'll be time to miss you once yr gone...
i thought i recognized that stare -- and realized he plays ser ilyn payne, the mute "king's justice" (executioner) on "game of thrones" too. it's a small role with big impact, and he is appropriately frightening in it.
sorry, micky. :(
Makes me realise that my sons are watching Wilko (via 'Thrones') almost certainly not knowing who he is. He came across as a nice guy when I saw him at Reading's Sub89 a while back.
