Although a Moscow City Court
suspended the two-year prison sentence on Yekaterina Samutsevich, those on
Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina were confirmed and seemingly the two
women are to be shipped off to some very unpleasant post-Soviet penal colony.
The pressure must be maintained to get them freed and they must not be allowed
to become the radical protest flavor of the month and quickly forgotten.
