I’M CONFUSED

Is it the End of the Word or the Rapture that’s coming in a couple of weeks? (And who the hell was Zephaniah?)

Zephaniah is Old Testament. His Day of God occured circa 600BC when the Babylonians conquered Judah.

The Rapture is New Testament. The End of Days is some 7 years after the Rapture. The Rapture's date is unspecified.

Today, Bible scholars concur that the most authentic Day of God account is that of the prophet Seltzer from The Book of The Omen.

I'm glad we sorted that out.

You must remember Benjamin Zephaniah. He was (and is) a London dub poet.

As I read the passage on the billboard, I couldn't help thinking how much it reminded me of all that internet spam mail promising me "Everything I ain't got" and language that makes me believe the sender flunked English as a second language.
I continue to find it amusing that all of the this Christian end of the world crap is inconsistent with their own ethical system.
I do remember a quote from the bible that says "I come as a thief in the Night" and "NO MAN (and I assume that includes women) knows the hour of my coming". And I expect the hour is in God time not semi-literate evangelical time.
But I consider the rapture a very good thing. I would be very happy to see most of the people so addicted to the idea of rapture and apocalypse leave this planet.
IMHO, we broke it we fix it. No god or alien or superhero is going to bail our asses out of this mess, AND we ARE capable of fixing it!

Was not Zephania a close mate of Zaphod Beeblebrox?

It also says somewhere in the New Testament that people who sit around waiting for the end are idiots and that GOrD, as I like to call 'im, gets pretty upset with these people.
