Well technically we Canadians don't actually love or hate anything - its more a sort of national complacency but we do seem to have the faint beginnings of recognizing that the prime directive of a government should be to provide the needs of its citizens.

The Republican policy is simple, privatize everything. That includes police and military. Hey if you can't afford it you're just too lazy and need to work harder.
