Farren may well be talking about the art. The bird headress is kind of weird, and there's a definite homo-erotic edge. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Nope, I don't see anything odd about it. It looks just like the cover of my copy, except that mine is a single, ACE F-408, and not the ACE Double.

i remember a cracker she wrote that i read when i was about 10,it had semi-sentient plants in it,anyone know what it was called?

I can't think of any of her books that had semi-sentient plants.
But, it's been decades at least since I've read many of her works, so I'm no authority on what's in her books.
