There are many times when I value critters more than human beings. I thought they were dedicated to stopping experimentation on animals. If someone wants to educate me otherwise I'm ready to listen.

"Despite their claims of using non-viloent tactics, there has been widespread criticism that ALF spokespersons have failed to condemn acts of violence. Groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which monitors U.S. domestic extremism, have noted the involvement of ALF activists in the Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty campaign, which SPLC identifies as using "frankly terroristic tactics similar to those of anti-abortion extremists." The ALF has been described as a domestic terrorist threat in the UK, and in January 2005, it was named as a terrorist threat by the United States Department of Homeland Security."

These guys are essentially opposed to ANY usage of animals (even as pets or 'animal companions' among the more extreme) that they find personally offensive. Laboratory testing, medical research, food, fur, hunting, pest eradication...name it. They have no moral problem with property destruction, B&E, arson, vandalism, etc. to further their bullshit, wacko "...animals are people, too, man!" agenda. Fuck 'em. I lump them right up there with National Right to Life, The Christian Coalition, PETA, E.L.F., and the Republican Party...any group who tries to aggressively ram their viewpoint down the collective throat of the public.

Extremists of ANY sort are dangerous and unpredictable.
