While Republicans become certifiably insane with their hair-tearing fantasies of Obama taking their guns and tossing their children in reeducation camps, I start to fear that one extreme right headcase will take this crap seriously, do a Tim McVeigh and start blowing up buildings full of people. Every time I hear some right winger announce that Obama is a socialist I think, "Oh, if only."
There is a great piece of Obama news today. He has appointed Jordan Barab to be the acting head of OSHA. Jordan is a truly great man of workplace safety. This is really good news, albeit a little outside of our usual discussions here.
