At the National Lampoon in the early '70s, on the cover of our "Is Nothing Sacred?" issue, we featured the Korda portrait of Che with a cream pie in his face. We were all reds, but we recognized that even our heroes are appropriate targets for satire. As Abbie or Krassner (they've both taken credit) said, "Sacred cows make the tastiest hamburgers."
