Hipster snob that I am, I have never watched
American Idol so I don’t know how all this works, but the following does strike me as a tad odd, okay?
The Arkansas News online boasts –
UPDATE: Told ya so! You heard it here first. It was the Arkansas vote!!! AT&T confirms 38 million votes from Arkansas alone. There were 100 million votes total. Congratulations Kris and…
But Wikipedia tells me the population of Arkansas is only 2,855,390 (2008 est.)
Ummm…what the fuck?
You can vote multiple times, as many as you like via a text message. Only time we watched American Idol was when a singer from our favorite pub was on as a contestant. We she was voted off we were gone.
ReplyDeleteSo 38 million votes works out to everyone in Arkansas voting 13 times. To the population of Arkansas I say, GET A LIFE!
Also each time you vote you have to pay extra for the call/sms, which generates extra revenue for the shareholders of this syndicated/licensed programme.
ReplyDeleteSo that's a lot of clams from Arkansas alone..
Remember folks, vote early & vote often!
ReplyDeleteYou're not the only one that doesn't watch this, you snob! It seems rather rigged, and so obvious, middle of the road boring. Their careers, their records end up at my local Goodwill store after they did their 15 minutes.
