A VERY MAJOR RIP

Newton, my cat and companion of almost twenty years, died peacefully in his sleep this morning just as the dawn was breaking. He was very old and I will miss him terribly. We had shared so many adventures. At one and the same time, there is so much more to say, but I’m hardly ready to say it. I’m just happy that he was at home and I was there.

Oh, Mick, I am so sorry to hear this. Having been through the same thing just a year ago, I know how much it hurts, but I also know the feeling of relief and happiness that you could be there for him at the end. Bless his feline soul...

Mick, I'm so sorry to hear about Newton too. My sentiments are pretty much the same as the comments above. I really feel for you as I'm still missing our beloved Owsley who died in July.

There are no words for the loss of such a friend, the bond between feeling human and feline is a truly remarkable thing. I am eternally grateful for every moment spent with my big ginger tomcat accomplice, how terrible the absence of a beloved friend. May he forever warm your heart from you time together, he will always share your soul with his memory.

    Be kind to yourself.
    Blessed be Newton.

    Be well Mick

  27. I'm sorry to hear about your kitty,I tend to like animals better than people sometimes.
He lived pretty long for a cat, you have to admit that. 20 years is a long time for people friends, even. You should post some of your cat pictures, blogs need more kitty photos,I believe. Although it might not seem very rock and roll to post kitty pictures, fuck the ones who think that.
