DOC'S PAPERBACK CLASSIC'S #1
I come across so many great paperback covers in my travels I figure I should start an irregular series, just to share them with all of you friends and neighbors. And how better to start than with that laugh-a-minute cut-up George Orwell?
There's an interesting article on George Orwell and Big Brother in This is London this week. There are 32 surveillance cameras within 200 yards of his old flat. (Sorry about the humongous URL.) http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23391081-details/George+Orwell%2C+Big+Brother+is+watching+your+house/article.do
I actually found this exact paperback edition at a used book sale in San Diego when I was a kid. My grandfather threw it out because he didn't want me reading "dirty books".
I certainly didn't think the Junior Anti-Sex Legue had such hot uniforms.
